1. Provide the inputs
Start with product dimensions, target quantity, packaging type, delivery target and at least one reference such as artwork, a current box or a visual example. If the product fit matters, physical product samples or accurate 3D dimensions may be needed.
2. Confirm the structural direction
The box style, board thickness, insert type and opening method should be confirmed before decorative finishes are finalized. This prevents a beautiful design from being built around the wrong geometry.
3. Make the agreed sample
The sampling method depends on structure and finish. Some samples verify structure and fit first; others are closer to production appearance. The quotation should state what the sample is intended to prove.
4. Review the sample
Check dimensions, product loading, insert removal, closing clearance, paper feel, print alignment and finishing. Record changes clearly rather than approving by memory or messaging alone.
5. Freeze the approved specification
After approval, dimensions, structure, material, artwork version and key finishing targets should be frozen as the production reference. Changes after approval can affect price and timing.
